We had a number of great Christmas events this year, as we celebrated Jesus as the thrill of hope. Here is a highlight on two of them:

Chorlton Light Switch On

Chorlton Light Switch On

On the first Sunday in December, we held Chorlton’s annual Light Switch On. All the stops are pulled for this event: a brass band, a Christmas market, carol singing, Father Christmas, kids’ crafts, and of course the lighting of the Christmas tree, complete with fireworks.

We had some great help from Manchester City Council, Chorlton Traders (you can read their write up on it here), and the wonderful Royal Oak pub.

Community Carols Service

Redeemer’s community carols service

The next Sunday afternoon we held our community carols service. Readings from the Bible, singing, activity packs for kids, and hot chocolate and treats afterwards.
